CHRISTINA KIMEZE is the recipient of The Sir Denis Mahon Award 2022-2023.

A former graduate in Biological Sciences from Oxford University, Christina’s Drawing Year has given her the opportunity to devote herself entirely to her artistic practice, which she has embraced in a variety of media.

In her words: ‘the most fundamental change to my work has been really seeing – what I’m researching, what I’m interested in – my subject matter – and ultimately what I’m drawing.’

The prize of £10,000 will support Christina as she continues her artistic journey, culminating in a solo show next year.
